Skylark Minerals has secured commitments for a $20 million placement to fund gold drilling at its Zaranou gold project in Cote d’Ivore. The company will use the funds to grow the 1.2 million ounce resource.
The placement, at 24 cents per share, has attracted mid-cap producer PDI Gold, which will take up $5.1 million worth of shares, giving it a 9.9% stake in Skylark Minerals.
Skylark will focus exploration on the Central Zone, which hosts the resource but covers only a small portion of the prospective corridor. The company will conduct RC and diamond drilling to target depth extensions and the prospective corridor.
Drilling will also test extensions at M’Basso South, while regional exploration will evaluate additional targets across the broader Zaranou project.
Fortuna Metals’ Drilling Results
Fortuna Metals has reported exceptional rutile results from drilling at its Mkanda project in Malawi. Notable assays include 24 meters grading 1.27% rutile, 24 meters at 1.22%, and 24 meters at 1.12%.
Mineralization remains open to the north and south, with further assays pending over the 2-kilometer Kahuna prospect. These results demonstrate the potential to increase the resource below the current 8-meter limit.
Assays for drilling at the Agogo prospect are being processed, along with over 2,700 samples from this year’s drilling.
Iltani Resources’ Orient Project
Iltani Resources has reported outstanding drilling results from its Orient silver-zinc-indium project in north Queensland. The results include the thickest intercept of mineralization to date at Orient.
Hole ORR221 returned an intersection of 106 meters at 143 grams per ton silver equivalent from 8 meters, including a high-grade core of 22 meters at 384 grams per ton silver equivalent from 52 meters.
Drilling continues to confirm the size and scale of the Orient project, with the company planning to update resources in Q4 2026 using results from the initial 110-hole program.
The updated resource will feed into the Orient scoping study in 2027.
Other Notable Results
Solstice Minerals has reported new results from drilling at its Nanadie copper-gold project in Western Australia, confirming an expanding shallow high-grade zone in the northern part of the deposit.
Falcon Metals has uncovered evidence of underlying bedrock mineralization at its Errabiddy gold project in Western Australia, with assays returning a significant bedrock gold intercept.
