The issue would extend EVF’s funding beyond domestic markets as the lender expands its operations and seeks more room for growth.

EVF General Finance Joint Stock Company plans to sell up to $300mn of US dollar-denominated bonds in international markets in the fourth quarter of 2026, The Investor reported. The Vietnamese finance company’s board approved the plan last week.

The issue would extend EVF’s funding beyond domestic markets as the lender expands its operations and seeks more room for growth. Moody’s kept the company’s corporate credit rating at B2 with a stable outlook in 2026, the sixth year in a row it has held that rating.

The company will run the deal as a private placement with maturities of at least three years. The bonds will be unsecured and non-convertible, will carry no warrants and will not count as subordinated debt.

The offering depends on EVF completing the required procedures and securing approvals from the State Bank of Vietnam and the State Securities Commission. If conditions are met, the bonds will be offered and issued in Singapore and listed on the Singapore Exchange.

The funds raised will be lent to individual and corporate customers. The money could go to borrowers in manufacturing and processing, construction, trade, transport, energy, technology, education and healthcare, among other sectors.

“Gradually accessing international capital markets is part of EVF’s strategy to diversify funding sources and expand its financial capacity for the next phase of development. For EVF, what matters is not only gaining access to a new source of funding, but also building the capacity to receive, manage and use those resources efficiently, based on financial discipline, risk management and transparency,” an EVF management representative said, The Investor reported.

Separately, shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting approved a private placement of shares with a maximum total face value of VND850bn ($32.6mn). EVF is working with authorities and investors on that sale.

This year the company also received a $20mn loan from Proparco to support climate finance and small and medium-sized enterprises led or owned by women. It signed a $15mn loan agreement with Finnfund to strengthen long-term funding for small businesses.
