If you want to transfer from your current WordPress host to Hostgator, (Read the detailed info here)
IMPORTANT STEPS TO BE ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Step 1) Log in to your current host C-panel,backup(Export)your WordPress database using phpMyAdmin, follow instructions from the link above.
Step 2) Download your current host domain include folder and subfolder(everything) using FTP Uploader such as FileZilla or CuteFTP.
Step 3) Log in to your Hostgator C-panel, create Database, name your database, create user name and set your own password. This is important as you have to switch your current wp-config.php to Hostgator. Click phpMyAdmin from your C-panel, select import from your export Sql file, make sure MySql box is ticked and click go. Wait for a while because sometimes internet connection problems.
Step 4) Next, modify your WordPress wpconfig.php from your download, open with notepad and change the following info:

Step 5) Upload your new wpconfig.php and everything that you downloaded into your hard drive to your Hostgator domain inside public html.
Step 6) Log in Hostgator 24/7 Live Chat and ask for Technical Person to run a test for you. They will test right on the spot.
Step 7) After you get the final confirmation from Hostgator Technical staff, only then, you log in to your domain registration account and make changes by pointing your nameserver to Hostgator server.
Finally, Check and test everything is in order before you completely delele your domain info in your old host. Again,use FTP uploader for doing deletion is just fine.

Tips : Update WordPress plugins error.
If recently, you are having an issue from updating your WordPress plugin or after updated, you got an error and unable to login. One or more recent plugin has encountered a problem.
To automatic disable all the plugins, login to your FTP uploader, look at WP content, select plugins, right click it and rename as plugins-sample Now, you should be Abe to logn to your wp-admin again. Activate all plugins one by one to check which one created the trouble. From my experienced, usually it caused by your recent update.
