Build A High Quality Article Content Before Link Building

We all know it is very important to build unique and high quality content and all of us would rather want to spend more energy, resource and time on building this content. But we must also remember that our main goal is to convert our content into links. Generating link is not an easy job. In order to do this task we need to operate just like an internet marketer. What we need to do is: First, we need to target relevant traffic. Second: In the traffic we must look for relevant anchored back-links. Lastly: Whenever a contextual anchored back-link is found the conversion should take place.
The first step of making a good website is to work and build a high quality content that makes people take notice and to attract them to link to us. But offering very good content, having a cool website or dazzling eye candy appearance does not ensure that the people will want to link to you. In order to do that job we need to find people and webmasters with similar likings/interests. People like to conform and to fit in. We need to use that in our advantage. It will make folks to link to us to form a group or to be a part of group where s/he is not the odd one out.
Our goal is to find targeted traffic of like minded individuals who are webmasters as well. The first place we should look into is public online forums for similar interest groups. There one may post his/her website address in the signature to attract webmaster with similar interest. We should also look out for any forum user who has website based on same subject/interest. One pitfall of this method is that we may not find a forum that caters to our interest. Or it may be too broad a forum so that finding the matching webmaster will be like finding pin in the hay stack. Also even if the forum is targeting the right group it may happen that there are no webmaster among those forum users.
Another way to go about this is to find a blog of a like minded webmaster. Then you can leave comment there. The intention is not to spam. But to build a relationship based on common goal. This relationship may result in a contextual anchored back-link that you are looking for. You may end up wanting to help each other in the struggle against the search engine results those are dominated by internet marketer. But this method may not work if you are not able to find a blog hosted by a like minded webmaster.
The last method involves targeted link building. This means in order to attract like minded people you need have a long tailed keyword phrase that depicts your goal but at the same time is not something that a internet marketer would use to dominate search results. For example: you might have an anti-credit card blog so you would target the keyword phrase: Why Credit Cards should be Illegal. Now Jane hates credit cards but does not have an anti-credit card blog. She does have a social blog and she may write a post about her dislike of credit cards and provide a link to your cool site. If this keyword does not result in any searches then you keep link building for new keywords targeted to like minded people. Once critical mass is hit it will start snowballing and you will not need to build link anymore.
